Shane Kelly took the new for 2006 Club
Formula 3 Championship by storm, winning the first five races in succession!
New rules allowing newer cars into the
Championship meant that Shane's 1997 Dallara gave away almost ten years
of development to many of his rivals new cars.
After a winter of testing and development,
Shane got off to the best possible start to the season by winning at Silverstone.
He then took two races wins at Rockingham - where he dominated both races,
Donington - where he overcame qualifying problems to win from 7th on the
grid, and Snetterton - where he took the lead with two laps to go, after
a race long battle.
Two disappointing results at Brands Hatch
and Mallory Park gave his rivals the opportunity to close the gap in the
title race, before Shane took his sixth win of the season at Oulton Park.
At Thruxton for the final round, Shane
took second place on the road and secured the Championship Title at his
home circuit.
