Car Profile

SK Racing triumphed in The Enterprise Group 2006 Club F3 Championship using a Dallara F3-97. The car was last used in the British Formula 3 Championship in 2001 where it finished 2nd in the Championship taking 6 pole positions and 7 race wins in the hands of Matthew Gilmore and Performance Racing Europe. The chassis is a carbon fibre monocoque built by Dallara in Italy. The front suspension is of push-rod monoshock design with a single Eibach Twin-Spring adjustable damper. The rear suspension uses two Eibach Twin-Spring adjustable dampers.

The car features an advanced aerodynamics package that can be tuned by adjusting front and rear wings, as well as the under body and rear diffuser.

The engine is a 2 litre 16 valve Opel engine tuned by Spiess and managed by a Bosch engine control system. The engine produces around 200 bhp, which combined with a car weight of 480Kg gives a power to weight ratio of 420 bhp per ton. The car is capable of top speeds in excess of 150mph and can accelerate from the starting grid to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds.
